Karma

Day two of the 21-Day Meditation experience was about karma and its effect on desire and destiny.  The Centering Thought was “I am a powerful creator”. https://chopracentermeditation.com/experience

The word Karma is inscribed at the top of the Center Mandala, aka, Science of Mind Mandala.  I placed it there as a helpful reminder when trying to get the mind back to center if we temporarily fall off center.     Karma is about your intentions and the choices you make.  It is always a good barometer when taking stock of what is working in your life and what is not working.  When thinking about the Karma in our lives, it exposes little tweaks we can make to help achieve more plausible results.

You can probably recall an incident where the old adage “what goes around comes around” was illustrated.  The incident may have happened to you or you may have observed it happening to someone else.  Karma happens with words, actions, mentally and or physically.  Most of the time it is the words that come out of mouth that trigger the karma event.  We can self-inflict bad karma upon ourselves.

There are many other phases that encompass the idea of karma:  the golden rule:  do unto others as you have them do unto you, look before you leap, if you can’t say something good, do not say anything at all, walk a mile in my shoes, a stitch in time saves nine and many others.

We can create peace and harmony with our words and deeds or we can do the opposite, the choice is always ours.
