Hands Off

In addition to maintaining and enhancing our mental hygiene during these turbulent times, we have to stay in tuned to and maybe step-up our physical hygiene.  That goes from bolstering  our immune system to our personal appearance.  For those who did not know it,  not touching your face (unless you are washing your face or applying products to the face); is one of the main ways to maintain a clear complexion.

The hands pick up all kinds of substances and they can get underneath the fingernails; these substances can be transferred  on to the skin surface when touch your face.  The substances might lead to a break out of bumps, pimples, blackheads , rashes and many other face conditions.  I have studied and practiced the basics of good skincare since the latter part of my teen years.  The basics being;  knowing which face cleaning  products work best for your particular skin type and keeping the hands off the face. Many years ago,  I worked as a make-up girl in one of the major department stores where I learned a lot about basic skincare.

So, while many of us may be uncomfortable in keeping our hands off of our face (especially during the Global Covid-19/Corona Virus Pandemic),  there is a side benefit, developing the good habit of keeping your hands off of your face which helps promote a clearer complexion.
