Climate Change

There are at least three different ways of looking at climate change; world climate, human vibrations /metaphorical, or regional climate.

World Climate

An environmental photographer traveled the world and took pictures of glaciers in the process of melting, floods, extreme fires, extreme heat, or cold, and contaminated waters. During an interview, he was asked what he would like the next generation to know about climate change.  He replied, “ That this head, these eyes and this heart knew what was going on.”

When witnesses share what they have seen, some take responsibility for the knowledge; others try to cover it up.   World Climate issues are largely caused by corporate greed and the mentality of placing profit over people.

Human Vibrations/Metaphorical Climate – Sometimes you might hear someone say “what is the climate like in the room?”  Is it argumentative, tense, loud , negative, speaking in an abrasive tone or is it mild, calming, no pressure, positive and welcoming. Example:  “the political climate was volatile.”

Regional Climate – Local weather predictions communicated daily.  The weather can be sunny and warm or gloomy and cold.  We experience seasonal climate; some areas are more predictable than others.  For instance, in the South, during certain months you can have extreme humidity, hurricane season, excessive rain, and tornados.

We make sense of the world with our head, eyes, and heart.  It is a delicate balance.  If there is too much or too little of either one, it can  cause your inner climate  to be out of balance.   There is exposure to a lot of different kinds of  violence daily that can make our hearts feel heavy. Violence impacts our inner climate.

Greater inner peace is achieved by doing our best to keep our head and heart in balance. Regarding the eyes, pay close attention to what we see and focus on.  What the mind can conceive, it can achieve.  When it comes to world climate change, I hope that more people come to the realization that we can do more to stave off the effects of climate change which appears to be in its highest state of manifestation in 2024.  Check in with your inner climate often and when you see something, say something.
