Day 16 of the Oprah/Deepak 21-Day Meditation Series was entitled, “Uniquely Me”* Do you ever wonder how and why an individual chooses a particular line of work or profession that they enjoy and are very happy with? There are the Trades and then there are professions and everything in between. People who work in the trades like carpenters, mechanics, silk screening, painting, plumbing, electricians, contractors, hair stylists. We have the music industry and all the other supporting specialists like musicians, sound engineers, singers, songwriters, record company agents and executives, satellite radio, CDs, vinyl and the entire entertainment industry runs alongside of the music industry. There are doctors, dentists, attorneys, computer specialists and other professions that are chosen by individuals who have embraced their purpose and innate talents.
Oprah speaks of our life purpose being like DNA, it is unique to each person. No one else on the planet is here to be who you are. It is interesting that our life purpose is always evolving and not something that you single-handedly create and it is not an idea. She goes on to explain that purpose is spirit seeking expression.
Deepak expresses that each person is a unique strand in the intricate web of life. The clues that draw us closer to and confirm the steps toward our purpose are revealed in variety of ways. The clues may come to us spontaneously, in waves, in the moment, in seasons or synchronistic experiences.
As the Centering Thought states, “Bliss be my guide”, take time to listen to your heart a little more because it where your bliss resides.
